Zelve
Great religious center from the 9th to the 13th century, Zelve sheltered a major city - fully troglodytique- which remained inhabited for over a millennium. It was only abandoned in 1950 for security reasons (erosion, earthquakes ...). Over the centuries the inhabitants have dug the rock dozens of galleries, churches, living rooms, warehouses ...
Access to the site is limited, but once inside, the visit is completely free. We can circulate in the valley and in the various tunnels still accessible. There are two parts to this valley, we will see the first, with its impressive landscapes.
